Manor Lodge Development

We are very excited to announce the forthcoming development of Manor Lodge. A residential care facility, specifically for the needs of elderly people with dementia. The project will be built beside Manor House in Blofield.
Tom Ground, the architect, who, having won a number of awards for residential care facilities, has incorporated a number of design features that will help enable residents with dementia to lead a full and as active life as possible: -
- Majority of bedrooms ground floor
- Majority of bedrooms focussed around the secure sensory garden
- Simple layout of building, thus eliminating confusion
- Quiet/activities room
- Day care facility with “Happy Returns” café
- Small group living, ie 2 Lounge/dining areas with accessible kitchenettes overlooking
a secure southerly aspect garden - Modern care call facilities for people with dementia
- Large number of windows throughout the building creating a light and airy interior
The project will begin in August 2011 and should be completed in August the following year.
With our experience of providing dementia care; we are looking to develop Manor Lodge into a beacon service for the area.
